Courses

Loch Lomond Angling School, caters for both Male and Female clients whether they are beginners, intermediate or advanced pupils, starting with children from 8 years of age all the way through to the retired individual who now finds time to take up this wonderful sport.

Tuition varies from one-on-one lessons lasting 90 minutes per session locally at Carman Fishery and the River Leven - to weekend courses, for parties for both Trout on the lochs at Inverawe and Salmon on the River Awe on the beautiful West coast of Scotland, just south of Oban.

Single Session Instruction

This is by far the most popular method of instruction. The pupil books a 90 minute session during which they are taught the discipline at a level they require then go and practice what has been taught. They can then book further sessions to build on their new found skills, this allows the pupil to build up their skills at a pace and cost to suit their needs.

Group session instruction

This is a more economical method of receiving instruction. If you can gather a party of friends (maximum 6 pupils) then a considerable cost saving per session can be shown. Obviously it helps when all are at the same level. Both of the above are carried out at Carman Reservoir for Single Handed bank or boat fishing pupils and the River Leven for both Single Handed and Double Handed river fishing.

Beginners Course

This course is intended for the beginner which will take the pupil from novice to basic competence.

Advanced course

Intended for the pupil with reasonable competence who wishes to progress to the next level.

Casting Clinic

SGAIC and STANIC

This course assesses and identifies the areas, which require polishing prior to applying for Level 1 coaching certificates. As an ‘instructors instructor’ David Bell believes that it is appropriate that potential candidates take this course to assist the pupil in achieving success. The advanced course prepares the pupil for Level 2 (this is teaching level) and allows them to apply for the AAPGAI examination.
